NGO 2012 – Open letter to SEIU President #1 – Financial Records

Date: July 5, 2012

RE: Detail of SEIU Local 1000’s 2011 Chargeable expenditures

Ms. Walker,

Please be advised that thousands of SEIU Local 1000’s Fair Share Fee Payers have empowered me in writing, by their signed Power Of Attorney, to represent them in all matters relating to the 2012 Fair Share Fee challenge arbitration.

The 2011 financial information that SEIU Local 1000 has provided in the June 2012 Notice to Fair Share Fee Payers is too broad and vague, lacking the necessary in-depth detail needed for arbitration. It is impossible for me to knowledgeably, fairly, justly, and adequately challenge SEIU Local 1000’s allocation and calculation of the chargeable expenditures.

Please provide me with the breakdown and detailed information of chargeable expenses listed in the table below by August 8, 2012, and at least 2 weeks before the 2012 Fair Share Fee Challenge arbitration.

I feel compelled to mention that thousands of SEIU Local 1000’s Fair Share Fee Payers, who have entrusted me to represent them in the 2012 Fair Share Fee challenge arbitration, expect SEIU Local 1000 to be most forthcoming, transparent, and cooperative in fulfilling its legal obligations and duties. Therefore, if you do not provide the above requested financial information within the requested time frame, I will file a Class Action Injunction to stop the Fair Share Fee challenger arbitration shortly after August 8, 2012. The injunction will include a request to limit SEIU Local 1000 to collect only 50% of the dues. This will remain in effect until you provide the requested necessary financial records mentioned above.

Sincerely,

Ken Hamidi

Interim President, CPPEA
