SHOUT TV is a name familiar to many California State Employees associated with SEIU Local 1000 reform. Since 2007, SHOUT TV has been holding SEIU Leadership accountable, voicing the questions and concerns of Local 1000 members, fee-payers, and non-members alike.
SHOUT TV will soon be airing its 100th episode!
The creative force behind SHOUT TV is the Talents of Kim McElroy, and the Tenacity of Ken Hamidi. As producers of the SHOUT TV episodes they’ve been holding SEIU accountable for their actions and inactions, with very limited resources.
SHOUT TV was established to be the voice of the state employees of California, and to inform and educate State workers about the current state of our union and national union trends.
Ken Hamidi is the on-camera host, interviewing guests on a variety of topics including union spending and financial accountability, and the rights of workers to petition their union leadership for reform. Ken is the driving force and strategist behind SHOUT TV and CPPEA.
Kim McElroy is the Executive Producer, Director, Technical Director, Editor, and the Film Crew – all in one. With very limited resources; however, Kim enthusiastically, produces educational, informative and entertaining shows to the State Workers of California. She handles the behind-the-scenes, technical matters that make SHOUT TV possible on a weekly basis while maintaining her regular job and community actvities.
California state employees can visit SHOUT TV for a wealth of information on issues such as the national trend towards the dilution of local unions, the undermining of the labor force by large unions, collective bargaining, and the choices available to members wanting to replace unions, including SEIU in favor of a more accountable, fiscally responsible union, that has their members interests as their primary concern.
